About the event

Session Title:  "Screaming with Mouths Wide Shut"

Open to all attendees, this session focuses on the issues impacting the mental health of our 21st century youth. Rev. Dr. E. Gail Holness, pastor of Adams Inspirational AME Church in Fort Washington, MD, will offer tips, resources and candid conversation that you don't want to miss. Holness is a human rights activist, lecturer, motivational speaker, columnist and author. She was also the youngest member of the defense team in the trial of the State of Georgia vs. Wayne B. Williams (1981), known as Atlanta's Murdered Children's case.

Session Title:  "Taking the Mask Off"

This session is for ministers only and will address the importance of ministers addressing their own mental health before they can truly minister to others. Rev. Dr. Lisa Banks-Williams, newly elected pastor of the Baptist Memorial Church in Washington, DC, is the perfect facilitator. She is a former member of the Coaching, Mental Health, and Equipping Leaders ministries and for more than 20 years, she served veterans and their families who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and other war-related psychiatric injuries at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the D.C. Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
